Tips to get Your Home Sold Faster!

Clean and pack away any personal or unnecessary items in your home.

Clutter takes away from your home and can make it appear smaller and harder for a potential buyer to see themselves in the home. Personal items also make it feel like “someone else’s” home and can be harder for the potential buyer to see themselves living in the home. Also, remember that when your home sells, you may only have 30 days to be completely moved out of the house so it is best to get things you don’t need packed away in advance. Less is more when it comes to items in for sale homes!

Deep clean and complete any repairs needed.

When a potential buyer walks into your home, you want it to be clean and tidy so they are not distracted from your home. Remember that landscaping is important too so keep the yard mowed and brushes and trees pruned. Fixing small repairs now can add to the home value and can speed up a closing if these items would need to be repaired prior to closing.

Make sure your home smells clean and fresh.

Nothing turns a buyer off more than walking into a showing and there being an odor in the air. Remove anything that produces a strong odor from your home and clean items that can hold strong odors (garbage disposal, trash can, cat box, etc). First impressions are extremely important to sell your home!

Open up those curtains!

Opening your curtains up lets natural light in and makes any space feel larger!
